The rules that apply when you use our website and buy outdoor lighting products from Outdoor Lighting VB.
Effective from: September 26, 2026By browsing outdoorlightingvb.net or buying a product from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to make a purchase.
We describe our lanterns, chandeliers, pendants and string lights as accurately as we can. Natural materials such as rattan and hand-finished metals vary slightly from piece to piece, and screen settings affect how colours and glass tones appear. Photos show fixtures styled in real settings; plants, furniture and décor are not included unless stated.
Prices are confirmed in US dollars when we agree an order with you by email, together with any delivery charge and applicable sales tax. We may correct obvious pricing errors before an order is accepted. Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Your request to buy is an offer. A binding contract exists only when we send written confirmation that we accept it. We may decline an order — for example, if an item is out of stock or cannot be delivered to your area — and will refund anything you have already paid.
Delivery dates we give are estimates. Once goods are delivered to the address you supplied, responsibility for loss or damage passes to you. Please inspect the packaging on arrival and report visible damage, particularly to glass or crystal, within 48 hours with photographs.
Unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery by contacting us first for instructions; return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Made-to-order or custom-sized fixtures cannot be cancelled once production starts. If an item is faulty, we will repair, replace or refund it. Nothing in this article limits rights you have under consumer law.
Hard-wired lighting must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician in line with local building and electrical codes. Decorative fixtures should be used in covered or sheltered outdoor areas unless the product is specifically rated for direct weather exposure. Use only the bulb type and maximum wattage stated for each fixture. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, modification or misuse.
Text, photographs, video, the lantern logo and page design on this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for personal reference. You may not copy, republish or sell our content, or use our name or logo, without written consent.
You agree not to interfere with the website's operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or use automated tools to scrape its content. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules.
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost business or profit. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not in breach of contract if a delay or failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption or supplier shortages. We will tell you as soon as possible and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay becomes substantial.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally. If that fails, disputes will be handled by the courts located in Rhode Island, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
